North Melbourne's round one clash against Port Adelaide saw him earn his first Brownlow Medal votes, and while his kicking wasn't as penetrating as he would have liked, Ziebell performed well beyond his years early in the season.
However everything came to a grinding halt when he again broke his leg against Geelong in round 14. The look of pain on his face was there for everyone to see, and it was clear his season was over.
Hurdles aside, the 19 year-old is already considered a future leader. His courage in the packs and hardness over the ball means the future is bright for Jack Ziebell.
AFL.com.au’s Steve Lavell says: Kept from delivering on his potential after breaking his leg for the second time in two seasons. Looked good in patches until round 14, but could build on the attacking side of his game. Fear not: it will come together for him.
