2010 players Bart McCulloch, Albert Proud and Broc McCauley were picked up by the Lions at Picks 30, 47, and 62 respectively.
The trio were delisted by the Club in October but have been participating in pre-season training with the rest of the team.
The Lions also acquired talented young winger Brad Harvey from Eastern Ranges/Coldstream in the first round at Pick No.13.
National Talent Manager Rob Kerr was pleased with the Club's selections and said that the four additions would bring depth to the list.
"Overall, if you look at the players that we brought in at the National Draft and then the four today, we have added a bit of run and tried to address some areas of need in terms of the depth of our list," Kerr said.
"Our No.13 Pick, Brad Harvey, is a quick player and he uses that speed to run past, receive the ball and break free of traffic."
18-year-old Harvey recorded the second fastest time ever in the 20m sprint at the Draft Camp, and the highest vertical leap at this year's camp.
"There were a couple of players we were considering for that first pick. Brad was in the mix and in the end it was his pace and potential as a damaging ball carrier that saw us favour him," Kerr said.
Kerr said that with the recent departure of some of the Club's more experienced players, the inclusion of 22-year-old Albert Proud add some depth to the list.
"We always wanted to add a mature-aged player to what is a young midfield group. It was down to Albert and a couple of others, but what it came down to is that the past couple of weeks he has worked really hard," Kerr said.
"He's had a strong wake-up call coming off the senior list, and he realises now that it's make or break time for him career-wise."
The Lions have also boosted their ruck stocks with the inclusion of McCulloch and McCauley.
"The new substitution rule that has been brought in means that there is going to be a bit of a shift in the role of the second ruckman in that it will have to be more of a ruckman/forward role rather than a second ruckman coming off the interchange," Kerr said.
"Bart McCulloch has the height and the build to be able to fill that role. After some injury last year, this will be his first real pre-season and he can see a clear role that he has the opportunity to push himself forward into."
"Likewise, Broc McCauley started fairly well last year and was then injured, but this pre-season it has been injury free. He is a capable ruckman and we will be working on developing his skills around the ground," Kerr said.
"The Club is pleased that these three players have had the opportunity to really push themselves and they have had to work hard for their spots. All our Rookie list players have some development upside and even though there are some familiar faces we are looking for them to improve at footballers."
While it will be business as usual for Proud, McCauley and McCulloch in their pre-season training, Harvey will make the trip north next week to begin his pre-season before the players' break over Christmas.
