Incidents assessed:
Contact between the Geelong Cats’ Jordan Murdoch and the GWS Giants’ Jacob Hopper from the fourth quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that Hopper had significant momentum when he was tackled by Murdoch, and the Geelong player turned his opponent in the tackle. Hopper retains hold of the ball as the pair go to ground, and the two players hit the ground almost simultaneously. It was the view of the match review officer the tackle was not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken.
