NICK Vlastuin has been withdrawn from Richmond’s match against Gold Coast on Sunday, after failing to recover from a concussion suffered in its 70-point loss to North Melbourne.
Jake Batchelor, originally omitted from the team replaces Vlastuin, Nathan Broad has been named as an emergency.
Vlastuin suffered the head-knock in the second quarter against the Kangaroos, and did not take any further part in the match.
The change unsettles the Tigers' defence after several changes had already been made when the team was announced.
The Tigers lost Steven Morris with a torn ACL and Troy Chaplin made way for Dylan Grimes, a late withdrawal with hamstring tightness the week before.
Reece Conca has been named for his first game of the season after tearing his hamstring in the NAB Challenge, and rebounding defender Jayden Short has come into the team after good form in the VFL.
Despite being stretchered off after injuring his ankle last week, Ben Griffiths has been named, with fellow tall forward Liam McBean an emergency.
