THE Sydney Swans had gone 18 minutes without a goal as half-time approached, and Fremantle had kicked three without reply to open a 19-point advantage, the biggest lead of the match.

From the centre bounce, the Swans rushed the ball forward, and Daniel Hannebery released Kieren Jack in the left forward pocket, and from 15 metres out on a tight angle he made no mistake.

The goal certainly gave the home side a lift, as they took the ball out of the middle again for Sam Reid to mark strongly and goal three minutes later.
