The traditional pre-match car park BBQ will be celebrated at Adelaide’s opening home game.
This Saturday’s theme is “Welcome Back Footy BBQ” and the club encourages all members and supporters to embrace the car park tradition and get to the game early to enjoy a BBQ with family and friends before throwing their support behind the team against West Coast.
The winner of the best BBQ competition - judged on atmosphere, showing your Crow colours, numbers of participants and quality of food - will win a brand new Sunbeam Kettle King outdoor electric BBQ valued at $280 from the club’s match day entertainment sponsor, Brooksy’s Good Guys Mile End. The prize will be presented on AAMI Stadium at quarter-time.
While you are enjoying your BBQ, make sure you keep an eye out for the Toyota staff who will be wandering through the car parks handing out Toyota/ Camry Crows aprons to the BBQ cooks.
And if you need some inspiration, the chefs from the Greedy Goose Restaurant will be putting on a cooking demonstration outside Crowmania from 12.30pm.
For the kids, the Crows Home Loan jumping castle will be set up on Max Basheer Reserve and the Crows junior development team will conduct a handball clinic outside the Crows administration building from 1.40pm.
You can show your support for the Crows and Toyota by collecting your Camry Crows tattoo as you enter the ground on Saturday. Toyota will provide free TRD and Crows tattoos for the first 10,000 supporters at the game and one lucky supporter wearing these tattoos will be selected from the crowd to win a Toyota TRD merchandise prize pack.
Also pre-match around the ground and at the Crows Shed will be Scottish born magician ‘The Tartan Trickster’ James James, as well as jazz musicians.
This year club encourage supporters to make a banner and proudly wave it at the game. One banner will be selected each week to be the Pizza Hut Banner of the Week and win a prize thanks to Pizza Hut.
The club will pay a special tribute to former players Ian Perrie, Matthew Bode and Jason Torney, who will be given a lap of honour before Saturday’s match.
Make sure you are in your seats by 2.15pm to acknowledge the contribution these three men have made to the club.
And don't forget that you can catch your free Footy Express bus to the game - just show your Game Day ticket.
