Geelong’s VFL practice match against Werribee on Saturday has been switched from Werribee Oval to the Whitten Oval in Footscray.
The match will still start at 1pm, with St. Joseph’s facing Werribee reserves at 10:20am in the curtain raiser.
The change has come about as Werribee’s ground is unplayable due to the on-going drought. It is one of five grounds that are struggling to come up for the start of the season.
Suspended pair Mathew Stokes and James Kelly will play with the Cats, while Simon Hogan will play his first game with the club after overcoming osteitis pubis.
Entry is free.
