A very lucky family got to spend an afternoon with West Coast Eagles stars last weekend as winners of the SGIO Eagles Zone Backyard BBQ competition.
Andrew Embley, Dean Cox, Nic Naitanui and Luke Shuey paid a visit to competition winners John and Malinda, their children Grace and Joshua, as well as other family members and friends for a Sunday afternoon barbeque.

“As long time supporters of the club, we had a fantastic day,” the family said. “We can’t tell you how much excitement and happiness the visit bought to our daughter and son, as well as the other kids we had here on the day. And of course the adults!
“The players are a credit to the club. They were all so obliging when it came to having photos and signing autographs.
“The highlight of the afternoon was having the guys just muck around and kick the footy with the kids. We know all of the kids that were here will have many lasting memories, and for the parents it is something you can’t put a price on.
“A special thanks goes to Andrew Embley, who didn’t have to come along, given that his wife had just had their son. So we are grateful that he gave up his time to come and join us.
“Thanks to the West Coast Eagles and SGIO for such a wonderful prize.”
