ESSENDON won't deliberately seek to exploit Melbourne's ruck woes at selection as it takes a fully fit 22 from Anzac Day into Sunday's clash against the depleted Demons.
The Bombers have ruckman Tom Bellchambers available after two matches in the VFL and three practice matches, while Matthew Leuenberger is already in the team, giving Worsfold the opportunity to hit the Dees with a two-pronged ruck division.
With Melbourne likely to use utility Cam Pedersen or key position players Jack Watts and Sam Frost in a makeshift ruck division, Worsfold said he would focus on picking his most balanced 22.
"We certainly aren't thinking that makes it unwinnable for Melbourne," Worsfold said on Thursday.
"It probably makes our planning a little bit more difficult in terms of how they set that up.
"But our focus will be on picking the team that we think is good enough to win this game playing in our style and we'll work out what they're doing on game day.
"I don't think it'll have a big impact on our preparation."
The Bombers are preparing for Sunday's clash at Etihad Stadium with a five-day break following their Anzac Day win against Collingwood.
Worsfold said all 22 players from that 18-point win were available, but form would be taken into account at selection after some strong performances in the VFL.
Midfielder David Myers is in contention for his first game since round 20, 2015, and just his third senior game since the 2014 elimination final against North Melbourne.
The 27-year-old had 35 disposals, eight marks and kicked a goal in the VFL Bombers' big win against Collingwood on Sunday, giving him a seven-day break if he is selected in the AFL team.
"It's one of those hard ones to judge, because he's missed more football than most over the last two years," Worsfold said of Myers, who has recovered from a finger injury.
"He bounced out really well on the weekend, but it is something we'll take into account, how he's pulled up and whether he is ready to step straight into a full AFL hit-out.
"He was outstanding on the weekend, so he absolutely deserves to be looked at in terms of what our line-up will look like this week."
The Bombers' Anzac Day win had restored belief after back-to-back losses, Worsfold said, with the squad aware it was still on a "bit of a rocky path at the moment".
The coach said he was yet to feel the need to rest any established players as they adjust to the weekly demands of AFL football following a year out of the game.
"We've got a bye coming up in round 13, so that's obviously a milestone … you look at that and start to plan around that," Worsfold said.
"If any of them really didn't recover from a game in the lead up to that, then there's a possibility we'd give them a rest on any given week.
"But we haven't really been at that point yet."
