Richmond has opted not to use its compensation pick obtained in the Richard Tambling trade in the 2010 exchange period, in the upcoming National Draft.
The Tigers received a late first round selection from the Adelaide Crows in exchange for Tambling, in last month’s trade week.

The Crows originally received the selection as compensation for Nathan Bock joining the Gold Coast Suns.
Clubs which had traded for a compensation selection in the recent AFL exchange period had until last Friday to decide whether to activate those selections for this year’s draft.
Richmond can use the compensation selection in any AFL Draft in the next four seasons, and has the option to on-trade it to another club.
The 2010 National Draft will take place on Thursday November 18 on the Gold Coast.
