Local players Josh Gregg and Ed Smart have been granted permission to train with the Club ahead of the 2012 AFL Rookie Draft on Tuesday.

North Adelaide and Prince Alfred College midfielder Gregg and Smart of Norwood will each be vying for one of the up-to five vacant spots on Adelaide’s rookie list.

Delisted duo Will Young and James Craig have also been training at West Lakes with the hope of being re-drafted by the Club.

The Crows hold pick Nos. 5, 23, 41, 58 and 73 at the meet, which will feature a total of 95 selections.

Another pick (No.89 overall) will be used to finalise the signing of former US College basketballer Ben Dowdell under the alternative talent rule.

Adelaide does not hold a pick in the Pre-season Draft, which will also be held on Tuesday morning, after using all four selections in last month’s AFL National Draft.

Adelaide allocated Rookie Draft picks - 5, 23, 41, 58, 73.
