Winthrop Baptist College and Chisholm College squared off last week to decide the WAFC Schoolboys Jakovich Division title. In front of a large crowd and in perfect conditions, the grand final was played at a “frantic pace” with some outstanding skills on display.

In the end it was Winthrop Baptist who came away with a victory defeating Chisholm College by 9 points.

Competition Patron and former West Coast Eagles Champion Glen Jakovich was on hand to present the WAFC Schoolboys Cup and medallions to the players, coaches and umpires.

Alex Kirk (Winthrop) and Julian Ameduri (Chisholm) were awarded the match balls post game as recognition for being their schools best players in the grand final.

“The West Australian Football Commission greatly appreciates the support received from all participating schools and School Sport WA. I would also like to sincerely thank those teachers who gave up their time to coach a school football team in the competition.
