ADELAIDE'S re-signings of Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas this week won't push Patrick Dangerfield into a decision about his own future.
The star Crows midfielder remains out of contract and on track to become football's hottest property during October's free agency period.
Both Sloane and Douglas – club champions in 2013 and 2010 – re-committed for three years earlier this week.
Dangerfield told Adelaide radio station FIVEaa that he understood fans' frustration at his drawn-out contract negotiations, but emphasised his need for more time.
"This is a hobby for them and for myself it's more than a hobby – it takes over your entire life," Dangerfield said.
"I understand that they can get frustrated, but this is more than just a hobby for me, this dictates where you live and how you live your life.
"I love playing here, I love the environment, but I haven't made a decision and I don't think I need to at this stage of the season.
"It's certainly a great sign for the footy club that both those players have signed on, they're both club champions and outstanding players and individuals … but it's not something I'm going to be rushed into.”
