Hannah Ewings has been crowned the 2022 NAB AFLW Rising Star for Season Seven.
Ewings won the award with 41 votes ahead of teammate Abbey Dowrick (32 votes) and Hawthorn's Jasmine Fleming (17 votes).
As part of the award, Ewings was awarded $20,000 and a dedicated private banker – courtesy of NAB – at the W Awards tonight.
The midfielder played all 10 games in her debut season after being selected with the third pick (first in South Australia) in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft.
Before being drafted, Ewings played with North Adelaide in the SANFLW and finished fourth in the league's best and fairest.
She played junior football with Roopena Sporting and Football Club in the Whyalla Football League.
Ewings received her NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination in Round Three against Carlton, where she had 21 disposals, 12 contested possessions, five clearances, and four tackles.
In her first season in the AFLW, Ewings led the club in clearances (3.9 per game) and inside 50s (3.7 per game).
The mid-forward also averaged 13.9 disposals, 4.9 tackles, and 298 metres gained per game.
