THE FINAL teams have been confirmed for Sunday's match between the AFLW Academy and an invitational All-Star under-23 side at Marvel Stadium.

The match will be played at 1.45pm before the round 14 clash between North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, and will be livestreamed on womens.afl and the AFLW app.

An AFL ticket to the Roos-Dogs game is needed for entry, which will be via gates two and three from 1.30pm.

The Academy is made up of the top 18-year-old talent from around the country, with players eligible for drafting ahead of the 2024 AFLW season.

Recently crowned SANFLW best and fairest Piper Window leads a cohort of extremely talented South Australian players in the AFLW Academy side, including 2022 Under-18 National Championships MVP Shineah Goody and decorated utility Lauren Young.

Multi-talented West Australian Georgie Cleaver, who is also in the Australian netball talent pathway, is in the Academy team, as is current Coates Talent League leading goalkicker Alyssia Pisano.

The under-23 side is made up of select Victorian, Tasmanian and Northern Territorian talent as nominated by AFLW clubs.

Former AFLW Hawk Dom Carbone will play, as will father-daughter prospects Jemma Rigoni (Melbourne, father Guy), Charlotte Simpson (Geelong, father Sean) and Meg Robertson (Carlton, father Ben). Rigoni is on the comeback trail from a torn ACL and has been in good form with Casey Demons and Oakleigh Chargers.

A number of in-form 18-year-old draft prospects have also been named for the under-23 side, including Eastern Ranges skipper Ava Campbell, Oakleigh counterpart Lara Hausegger and unrelated duo Ava and Lily Jordan.

AFLW Academy head coach Tarkyn Lockyer will take the reins for his group, while retired Giant Tanya Hetherington will look after the All-Stars side with support from three current AFLW players: Pie Brit Bonnici, Cat Kate Darby and Swan Aliesha Newman.

"For the players in the AFL Academy Girls program it will be a significant honour to wear the Australia jumper and represent their country," Lockyer said.

"The match also provides a great opportunity for those representing the All-Stars team, who have been nominated to play by AFLW clubs after impressing in the Coates Talent League and at state league level this season."
