TAYLA Harris' iconic kick has claimed another accolade, with her subsequent tweet ending the year as the most-liked tweet in Australia in 2019.

Harris tweeted a photo of the award-winning picture, taken by AFL Media's Michael Willson, with the caption: "Here's a pic of me at work … think about this before your derogatory comments, animals."

The tweet ended the year with more than 62,000 likes, making it the most-liked tweet in the country.

Harris also finished 2019 as the second-most tweeted about athlete in Australia, behind only French Open tennis champion Ash Barty.

It came as Twitter revealed that 'AFL' was the most used sports hashtag in the country this year, with 'Big Big Sound' coming in at No.9 and 'AFLW' coming in at No.10.

'Big Big Sound' followed a series of memes using Greater Western Sydney's theme song in the lead-up to the club's first ever Grand Final in September.

'AFL' was the only sports hashtag to make the top 10 of all most used hashtags in Australia.
