THE FIRST AFL Women's preliminary finals will be played across two days this weekend, with the Grand Final slated for Sunday 31 March.
Saturday 23 March
First preliminary final
Carlton (first in Conference B) vs Fremantle (second in Conference A) at Ikon Park, 2.45pm EDT/11:45am WST.
Sunday 24 March
Second preliminary final
Adelaide (first in Conference A) vs Geelong (second in Conference B) at Adelaide Oval, 12.40pm CDT/1.10pm EDT.
It will be the first AFLW game at Adelaide Oval, with the Crows having played their home matches this season at the smaller Norwood and Unley Ovals.
The last time Carlton and Fremantle played was round seven, 2018, a match which saw both teams battling to avoid the wooden spoon with the Dockers emerging victorius.
By contrast, Adelaide comfortably accounted for Geelong by 29 points in round three of this year, played at Norwood Oval.
The winner of both games will progress to the Grand Final next Sunday (time TBC), with the team with the most premiership points (or highest percentage if points are the same) earning hosting rights.
