BOOMING kick McKenzie Dowrick is back in the NAB AFLW, after Adelaide signed the versatile West Australian as a replacement player.
Dowrick, 21, has 12 AFLW games under her belt from her time at Brisbane and West Coast, where she lined up at both ends of the field.
She sat out the 2021 season due to personal health reasons, but had recently moved to South Australia to play for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFLW.
"McKenzie reads the play well and can break the lines with her long kick," Adelaide women's footy boss Phil Harper said.
"She kicked a goal in our internal trial and looked dangerous whenever she wheeled onto her left foot.
"She’s made the big move over from WA and has been working hard to get to where she wants to be.
"McKenzie has experience at AFLW level, and we think she can help make us better as a team this season."

Dowrick was one of Western Australia's top under-18 players in her draft year, dominating at junior level with her left boot and clean overhead marking.
She will take Deni Varnhagen's spot on Adelaide's list, after the dual premiership player chose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
