HOW TO ENTER

To enter, consumers must purchase their 2006 MELBOURNEfc season membership and be entered into the membership database prior to 5pm AEDST on February 28, 2006.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.

2.Entry is open only to Victorian residents aged 18 or over except directors, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.

3.All 2006 MELBOURNEfc members entered into the membership database as at the closing date and time will receive an automatic entry into the draw.

4.The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

5.The competition begins on the 30th January, 2006, and closes 5pm AEDST on the 28th February, 2006. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.Limit of one entry per person.

7.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise.

8.The prize draw will be conducted at Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Great Southern Stand, Brunton Ave, Jolimont, VIC 3002 at 10am AEDST on Friday 3rd March, 2006. The first valid entry randomly selected from the membership database will win the Major Prize. The winner will be notified by telephone and in writing.

9.The Major Prize package is valued at $4,995.00 and consists of the following
a)An upgrade to premium MELBOURNEfc membership with reserved seating for each home match in the 2006 home and away AFL Premiership season, plus reimbursement of the 2006 MELBOURNEfc membership fee paid by the winner (awarded in the form of a cheque). In the event that the winner already has a premium membership, the premium membership upgrade will not be awarded and the winner will receive reimbursement for the premium membership fee paid by the winner;
b)A premium MELBOURNEfc membership for a friend with reserved seating for each home match in the 2006 home and away AFL Premiership season;
c)a trip for two (2) adults to see the Melbourne Football Club vs Sydney Football Club match in Round 4 on 23rd April, 2006 including return economy flights from Melbourne to Sydney, one night’s twin share accommodation, two reserved seats and invitation to a corporate pre-match function;
d)An opportunity to sit in the Statistics Box for the Melbourne v Richmond game, in Round 15, Friday 14th July at the MCG;
e)An invitation for two (2) adults to attend Melbourne Football Club 2006 Club Champion Dinner; and
f)A full Melbourne Football Club training outfit, consisting of tracksuit pants and top, polo shirt, shorts, training tee and cap.
Spending money, meals, taxes, insurance, transport to and from home matches/departure point for trip to Sydney and Club Champion Dinner event, transfers and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. The various elements of the prize must be taken on the dates specified by the Promoter to coincide with the relevant events and are subject to booking and flight availability where applicable.
10.The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including without limitation indirect special or consequential loss or loss of profits) expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

11.It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.

12.The Major Prize winner will be notified by telephone and in writing and their name and suburb will be published in The Australian on 24/3/06.

13.Total prize value is $4,995.00. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

14.In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then the element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of prize.

15.In the event of the Major Prize not being accepted or claimed by 24th March, 2006, the relevant drawn entrant’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct such further draws at 3pm on 28th March, 2006 at Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Great Southern Stand, Brunton Ave, Jolimont, VIC 3002 as are necessary to award the Major Prize. The name of any Major Prize winner from the unclaimed prize draw will be published in The Australian on 4th April, 2006.

16.Unless expressly stated within these Conditions of Entry regarding all prizes, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

17.In the event that a prize(s) is/are not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prize(s) in its discretion to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification.

18.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred in the event that any event(s) constituting part of the Major Prize is/are cancelled for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter.

19.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.

20.The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.

21.All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may disclose entrants' personal information to its contractors and agents (including but not limited to Carlton and United Beverages Limited, ABN 76 004 056 106) to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter and Carlton & United Beverages may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to the person information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address below.

22.Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
