WITH the bye rounds a distant memory, it’s time to refocus as we set sail for the run home.
Eight rounds remain between you and AFL Fantasy glory. If you play this correctly, you could be the one holding up the premiership cup, with a huge smile, bragging endlessly to your mates until a new season starts in 2017.
Over the next four weeks heading into Fantasy finals, some teams have easier runs than others. This might help you with any 50/50 decisions you have around the trade table on selection night.
Melbourne and Gold Coast have an easy draw over this time whereas Collingwood and Fremantle have shockers. They play three very difficult teams to score on in the next three weeks and this might shape the way you manoeuvre your team.
Come finals time, Carlton will finish like a steam train playing St Kilda, Brisbane, Melbourne and Essendon. Make sure you have some of their stars in your team over this time.
After an impressive debut of 76, Jack Silvagni (FWD, $146,000) finds himself as the most traded in player this week. The 'Son of Jo' showed promising signs. However, he will certainly be tested over the next few weeks against GWS, Adelaide and North Melbourne.
Clay Smith (FWD/MID, $190,000) was equally as impressive against a much harder Swans outfit for his score of 69. Smith debuted for the Bulldogs back in 2012 and if money isn’t an issue for your team, then he’s certainly the pick of the two.
For Calvin, money is an issue. He is looking to offload Daniel Currie (RUC, $260,000) and throw away his bench cover completely. Over 2,500 coaches are following this strategy as they look to free up cash to strengthen their team in other areas.

A one-match suspension for David Zaharakis (MID, $422,000) makes him the most traded out player this week. This is a blessing for coaches who have their lost patience with the Dons midfielder who started the season on fire. He has only averaged 76 in his last five games and should now be upgraded to fallen premiums such as Andrew Gaff (MID, $428,000) or Sam Mitchell (MID, $475,000).
