The Swans won the pre-season Challenge game by 28 points, with Josh Kennedy, Lewis Jetta, Mark Seaby and Jesse White all playing starring roles in front of the 4000-strong crowd.
The match also saw the return from injury of Rhyce Shaw and Dan Hannebery.
“Rhyce was lively which was good, he certainly makes a difference when he’s out there with his pace, and obviously with Tadhg as well, it’s good to have them back in the mix,” Roos said.
“Josh Kennedy really warmed up tonight, in the first half he was probably our best player, so that was really encouraging. We’ve given him a bit more time in the middle of the ground, certainly tonight he found some real form. It’s going to be a gradual thing with Joey because he’s still a young player but he was very good tonight.”
Roos praised ex-Eagle Mark Seaby’s efforts up forward, hinting at a more permanent spot in the forward line for him alongside in-form White and Adam Goodes.
“’Seabs’ went up there, which worked really well. [Having three tall forwards] is going to stretch some teams. You can see Jesse’s pretty mobile and obviously Braddy’s (Daniel Bradshaw) mobile, and we experimented with Seabs up there and he took a good mark and kicked a goal, so certainly going to be the plan to go with the three talls.”
Roos noted the lack of senior players in the Bombers’ side, saying the Swans were less focused on the win, and more concerned with how their own players were shaping up in the lead up to the home and away season.
“I think we know we’re probably down to about 26 or 27 guys now - most of the players who played tonight had good patches, so they’re still in the mix for round one. We'll narrow it down next week, and it'll probably be a bit more critical after next week’s game in order to prune it back for round one.”
