A quick toot, toot on the horn of the Volkswagen Multivan Highline marked the arrival of four of the Sydney Swans luckiest supporters at Sunday’s Fan Day at the SCG.

At the wheel was Sydney Swans ruckman Shane Mumford, alongside him was his team-mate Jude Bolton, and their excited passengers were 10 year old Camilla Kidd and her two brothers, Rory and Henry, and father, Nick.

Chauffeur Shane pulled up right outside the main gate of the SCG to allow the family the perfect entrance to the Fan Day, presented by Volkswagen.

Camilla was the lucky winner of the Volkswagen Fan Day competition, which asked entrants to state in 25 words or less why they were the Swans’ biggest fans.

Camilla’s winning entry captured the importance of being there at the games to watch the Swans play and cheer them on. Her entry read: “Whenever I watch a match on the television we lose, but when I am at the game cheering we always win. Come on Swannies beat them!!!’’

Camilla’s mum, Della, said the family was very impressed with their prize from Volkswagen. “The players were so great. We didn’t know what to expect with the day but it was a really, really great experience for the family.”

As the proud new partner of the Swans, Volkswagen provided a number of fantastic activities for supporters who came to Fan Day.

There was the chance for fans to have their photo taken and transposed as if they were a Swans player at the Volkswagen Tiguan interactive green screen area.

Sydney Swans coach John Longmire loved that, and created a photo of himself being carried off the ground by two players!

If you were lucky enough to have your photo taken at Fan Day, you can check out your image plus plenty of others at - http://www.facebook.com/VolkswagenAustralia

We’re sure plenty of Fan Day attendees are keen to know just how many footballs were in the back of the Volkswagen Amarok. Stay tuned for the answer, and the name of the lucky winner of the Swans away game trip which will be announced shortly.
