Training Services Coordinator

The Brisbane Lions A.F.C, arguably the AFL's most successful team and brand over the last decade, is seeking to appoint a part-time Training Services Coordinator to become a valued member of their team. The Brisbane Lions A.F.C has diverse service offerings, an ever increasing profile and strong brand.

The purpose of the position is to provide an elite Sports Trainer service to the playing group of the Brisbane Lions. This will be achieved specifically through the delivery of first aid, hydration, sports massage, strapping and other relevant Sports Trainer duties.

Specific duties include:
• Attendance and preparation for all pre-season and in-season training sessions
• Attendance and preparation for all Brisbane Lions senior games
• Assist in the preparation of all Brisbane Lions reserve grade games
• Provide recovery group massages at all pre-season and in-season group massage sessions
• Perform regular stocktakes of all trainers’ equipment
• Assist in the development and education of part-time trainers
• Drive high standards amongst the sports trainers to provide an elite training environment

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 Sports Medicine Australia accreditation, a minimum Certificate 4 in Massage and hold current First Aid and CPR certificates. Ideally, you will have previous experience working as a Sports Trainer, preferably in a team sports environment. You will also be a flexible team player, well organised and possess high quality leaderships skills.

The role is initially based on a 30 hour week for 40 weeks per year. The hours will be changing to suit the team’s pre-season schedule, both before and after Christmas, so you must be flexible with your availability, including working unsocial hours and on weekends.
