POWER midfielder Travis Boak believes enigmatic Pies star Alan Didak would be a “perfect” fit for the young, attacking Port Adelaide team, but only if the crafty forward was capable of abiding by the club’s culture.

Didak, who has been suspended for the remainder of the season after lying about his involvement in teammate Heath Shaw’s drink-driving incident, is no stranger to Alberton, having played his junior footy with the Port Adelaide Magpies.

Port Adelaide has already expressed interest in speaking to Didak, but is unlikely to part with early draft picks in exchange for the troubled star.

“Obviously, he [Didak] is a quality player. He’s had a fantastic year with Collingwood and he’d probably fit nicely into our side. The club would probably look at it, sit down with him and talk to him to see if he fitted in with our culture and things like that,” Boak said on Wednesday.

“He’s an exciting player and with our exciting brand of football, he’d be perfect for our team. He’s a goal sneak and another great forward that would probably fit in with Ebo [Brett Ebert] and Motts [Daniel Motlop].

“I’ll trust the club to make the right decision. They’ve made some good decisions with players like that before, so we’ll just wait and see.”
