The Australian Football Experience comes to Moree this Sunday, March 29, as part of Australian Football 150 Years celebrations.

Families are encouraged to get down to Jellicoe Park between 11am to 4pm, where they can learn about the history of the game and participate in activities to test their football skills.

Fans can visit the Big Footy, a nine-metre purpose-built dome that contains a visual history of the game, while children can take part in interactive activities such as the Big Kick and Handball Highlights.

From 3pm, soulful musician Jess McAvoy will showcase songs from her new album, which is yet to be released. With two EPs under her belt, Jess McAvoy’s haunting and heart-felt music has received attention from Triple J and garnered her support gigs for Ani diFranco, The Waifs, Pete Murray, Kate Ceberano, Tim Rogers and Tex Perkins.

Families are invited to enjoy face-painting and a BBQ as part of this free community event celebrating the 150th birthday of Australian football.
