Six Cats have been named in the 2010 All Australian team that was announced on Monday.

Gary Ablett (fourth All Australian selection), Steve Johnson and Corey Enright (third), Paul Chapman and Joel Selwood (second) and Harry Taylor (first) were honoured.

The Cats seventh nominee, James Kelly, was considered by most experts as unlucky to miss out.

Ablett was named as vice captain, with Hawk Luke Hodge named skipper.
