The season launch will be held on Wednesday 12 March at Crown Entertainment Complex. Bookings close on Thursday 6 March at noon so book now to experience the official introduction to the 2008 season.
“Where else can you hear from the Brownlow Medallist Jimmy Bartel, the Norm Smith Medallist Steve Johnson, the NAB Rising Star Joel Selwood, the ‘Carji’ Greeves Medallist Gary Ablett and also the premiership coach Mark Thompson all in the one room,” Brownless said.
The individual award winners of 2007 will be part of a panel and will be put through their paces with Billy’s hard questions.
Billy will also interview new recruits Dawson Simpson (pictured with Billy), Harry Taylor and recruiting manager Stephen Wells. Dawson will be presented with Billy’s old number 16 in the 2008 team jumper presentation.
“I think it is fantastic that all players will be there and will be presented with their guernseys,” Brownless said.
“It gives the new players and rookies a sense of belonging to be presented with their jumpers.”
The season launch will also be giving guests an opportunity to purchase some truly amazing footy items.
“There’s no show without punch,” Brownless said.
“Of course there are some great auction items. From the team mascot, a bbq with the boys, sitting in the coaches’ box to my favourite lot - the weekend away at Sydney.”
