On Saturday May 31 in Sydney, 30 lucky kids had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the senior players of the Richmond Football Club.
The day began with the kids participating in a 45 minute clinic at MoorePark which was run by Richmond’s Mitch Morton, Graham Polak and Junior Development Coaches Peter Romainw and Michael Lacy.
The clinic involved the kids getting coached by the players on kicking, handballing, marking and goal kicking, and concluded with the kids battling it out in a game of footy.
Following the clinic, a Subway lunch was provided and all kids and parents had the opportunity to speak with Graham and Mitch and ask them about life as a footballer.
It was then time to see the rest of their Tiger heroes. All parents and kids were taken across to the SCG to watch the senior squad go through its paces.
The kids were then able to get autographs and photos once training had finished.
