Last weekend, over 400 Rookie Eagles members celebrated the start of the festive season with their football heroes at Grand Cinemas Warwick.

Of course, Rick the Rock wouldn’t be left out of the action and joined junior supporters in creating havoc before the free movie screenings.

This year, Rookies had the choice of two films, with The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Toy Story 3D proving equally popular. It was a tough decision for Rick, but in the end he went with Toy Story because he wants to be like Woody when he grows up.

After the films, the whole team was on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos with their young fans.

In addition to meeting crowd favourites like Mark LeCras, Dean Cox and Andrew Embley, the kids were also lucky to catch players like Nic Naitanui and Andrew Strijk, fresh off the plane from Cambodia.

Rookies were treated to a special goodie bag with puzzle sheets, a team poster, a water bottle and a bag of Skittles.

As always, thanks go to Grand Cinemas Warwick and Walt Disney for their assistance in staging this fantastic event.
