Digislide, Key Partner with Port Adelaide Football Club, has secured $18 million in new capital commitments from London-based investment company GEM (Global Yield Fund).

Under the agreement, Digislide will be able to draw down funds at any time over the next 3 years, in order to ensure that the company can quickly invest in new manufacturing and/or product development, and bring some exciting technologies and products rapidly to market. The funding commitment comes 3 months after the Adelaide based company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Digislide’s CEO, Luceille Outhred said the deal comes as the company is in discussions across the globe, in relation to its miniature projection technology.

Midway through the year, Digislide launched Digishow® - a hand held, pocket sized, companion projector, enabling people with handheld devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, and portable media players, to connect and project their content on any suitable surface as a larger image. Digishow® is currently available for $399 at selected retailers and also online at www.digishow.com.au.

Digislide will also launch a series of new audio-visual companions that are set to revolutionise the video gaming industry. First up, in the run up to Christmas is WeSiiTM, a Projector and Audio Dock, and perfect companion for Nintendo Wii consoles. WeSiiTM enables mobile console gaming, freeing up the Wii console from the television and enabling people to Project + Play anywhere.

WeSiiTM simply docks on top of the Wii console, and there you have it, an all-in-one mobile gaming unit. More info can be found now at www.digislidegaming.com and also very soon at www.wesiiprojector.com.

WeSiiTM will enhance the gaming experience for the soon to be released AFL game for Wii, amongst other already available great titles.

A similar product for the Xbox 360 console, called the XRay®, is also being released. The products will be able to either be purchased together or separately, as the audio dock and projector have compatibility with portable media players and other handheld devices.
