Construction is expected to commence early February 2009 and the inclusion of new state of the art facilities has been the catalyst in attracting and securing the alliance with LG Electronics.
North Melbourne CEO Eugene Arocca declared the club was delighted to have a partner of such great commercial respect.
“LG is obviously a world leader in air conditioning and electronics and their generous support and assistance will provide significant benefits, not only to the Club, but also to the community via the Learning and Life Centre.” Arocca said.
LG Electronics spokesperson Neville Dovesaid the company is excited and looking forward to working with the Kangaroos.
“LG is very proud and pleased to form a partnership with the North Melbourne Football Club and therefore integrate our products into the redevelopment project. We see this as an exciting vehicle for both LG and the Club to been seen and considered leaders in their respective fields.” Dove said.
Arocca again acknowledged the significant financial support from key project stakeholders including the State and Federal Governments, Melbourne City Council, the AFL and the Scanlon Foundation.
“The Club has fantastic funding support and the LG partnership is another of many commercial partnerships the club hopes to secure as the construction of the Arden Street Facilities comes to fruition early next year”, Eugene said.
Further to this announcement, the club will be seeking expressions of interest from potential naming rights sponsors.
