All members who had recruited more than two new members were invited to attend the annual Sydney Swans Member Get Member function. The guests enjoyed finger food and beverages
The Swans’ top three recruiters were rewarded with a special tour of the newly refurbished Swans training facilities by co-captain Leo Barry. The members were given the chance to take a look at the new ice-bath, sit on the steps where the coaches give their match-day address, and even tour the players’ locker room.
After they returned, Ted Richards hosted a couple of brief interviews, with Swans players Jarred Moore and Brendan Murphy. Richards then took the chance to answer written questions members submitted- though he strongly suspected some of the questions may have been written by the players themselves.
The great evening was a wonderful celebration of the recruiting achievements of the members. Be sure to recruit your friends for the 2009 season to be able to attend this fantastic event next year.
