The season 2007 launch of the highly successful Kicking Goals program reflected again the strong commitment of BHP Billiton Iron Ore, the West Coast Eagles and the Swan Districts Football Club in providing quality programs to students in the Pilbara region. The provision of quality education programs and mentors encourages students to achieve at the highest levels they can attain.
On Saturday, May 5 both the curtain raiser (15 year olds) and Little League (12 year olds) teams featured in the match day activities during the Western Bulldogs game were made up of boys and girls participating in the Kicking Goals program.
The group from the Pilbara region was also given a tour of facilities the following day and a chance to meet West Coast players Adam Selwood and Brent Staker. In total, nearly 60 people travelled from the Pilbara to enable this event to occur.
