The host of Adelaide’s official podcast is battling a shoulder sprain from Sunday’s win over Richmond but says the rapid improvement in the past 48 hours has given him some hope of being ready to play North Melbourne.
“If it keeps going the way it’s going ... then I reckon I will be right to play,” McLeod revealed on the podcast.
But McLeod, one of Adelaide’s best on Sunday night, said his decision on whether to play or not would not be based on an approaching 350-game milestone. If McLeod plays every game of the minor round he will reach 350 in round 22.
“I don’t think about those things,” he said. “For me it’s about getting myself right so I can get out and help the team and do my bit to hopefully get us our second win.”
Listen to more from McLeod in this week’s episode of ‘Down the Guts’. Bunji also chats to young Crow Brodie Martin to find out the latest on his knee rehabilitation.
