SALES continue to rise for this weekend's preliminary finals clashes.

At 5pm on Thursday, 57,673 tickets had been issued for Friday night's meeting between Geelong and the Western Bulldogs.

A total of 59,632 tickets had been issued for the Hawthorn-St Kilda match on Saturday.

This follows a boom after the release of tickets to the general public on Wednesday:  sales for the game between the Hawks and the Saints rose by almost 12,000 in 24 hours.

And ticket sales for the Geelong-Western Bulldogs battle climbed by 7000 in the same period.

Last year's preliminary final between Geelong and Collingwood attracted 98,002 spectators to the venue, while 43,953 watched Port Adelaide belt North Melbourne at AAMI Stadium a day later.

Tickets for both finals are available through Ticketmaster.
