FANTASY Draft coaches will be looking to add depth to their teams with Sam Lloyd and Hugh Greenwood the pick of the players to gain forward status for the second instalment of the dual-position player (DPP) additions.
Every six rounds the team at Champion Data crunch the numbers and adjust players' initial position allocation to reflect their actual roles in 2019.
FANTASY FORM WATCH Is it time to trade Cripps?
It is important to note only players with a single position can be awarded DPP status in the three rollouts and players cannot lose an allocated position. Champion Data use starting positions at stoppages and assess the percentage of time spent in their roles to make changes.
The next group of DPP additions will be ahead of round 18, as coaches prepare for the Fantasy finals.

Add DEFENDER
Age is often a defining factor when making Fantasy selections. Shaun Burgoyne's stocks have been declining for a few years and at 36 years old, he doesn't appear in too many teams.
Adding defender status gives the oldest player in the competition a new lease of life for Fantasy coaches. Burgoyne might be averaging just 68 points this year, his lowest return since 2004, but he is coming off his season-high score of 91. Consider him as an option on your Fantasy Draft bench.
Player | Club | 2019 average | Initial position | New DPP |
Levi Casboult | Carlton | 57 | FWD | DEF/FWD |
Jordan Murdoch | Gold Coast | 57 | MID | DEF/MID |
Tim O'Brien | Hawthorn | 58 | FWD | DEF/FWD |

Jackson Thurlow | Sydney | 61 | MID | DEF/MID |

Add MIDFIELDER
Jack Ziebell has been injected back into North Melbourne's midfield and his Fantasy numbers have benefited from the role change. In round nine he posted 155 against the Swans and has posted a ton in four of his past six games.
The addition of midfield status gives the Roos' captain some added flexibility that could come in handy over the bye rounds.
Player | Club | 2019 average | Initial position | New DPP |
Sam Petrevski-Seton | Carlton | 81 | FWD | MID/FWD |
Cameron Guthrie | Geelong | 86 | DEF | DEF/MID |
Jordan Clark | Geelong | 60 | DEF | DEF/MID |
Jack Ziebell | North Melbourne | 84 | FWD | MID/FWD |
Jade Gresham | St Kilda | 78 | FWD | MID/FWD |
Ryan Clarke | Sydney | 53 | DEF | DEF/MID |

Add RUCK
While Toby Nankervis spends some time on the sidelines, Noah Balta has been Richmond's second ruckman, averaging 7.5 hitouts over the last month. His added responsibility has seen him produce solid scores and increase his price by more than $150K.
The Tigers have the round 14 bye and some DPP trading could help avoid a zero when popular ruckmen Max Gawn and Brodie Grundy sit out in round 13.

Add FORWARD
It is in the forward line that Fantasy Draft coaches will find the benefit of the new dual-position player additions.
Recent form would suggest Sam Lloyd should be at the top of the shopping list when adding free agents this week. Appearing in 19 per cent of teams, he has scored 102, 107, 76, 86 and 95 which would have been solid enough in deep Draft leagues as a midfielder, but now makes him a high priority to pick up as a forward.
Consider using your RFA request on Hugh Greenwood (44 per cent ownership) if he's available in your league. The Tasmanian has averaged 86 in the past five weeks.
Sam Powell-Pepper has enjoyed four scores of 95 or more this season. He appears in 28 per cent of Draft teams and, although his 51 in China was less than impressive, his value now that he is a forward is set to rise.
Player | Club | 2019 average | Initial position | New DPP |
Hugh Greenwood | Adelaide | 81 | MID | MID/FWD |
Aaron Francis | Essendon | 54 | DEF | DEF/FWD |
Darcy Tucker | Fremantle | 67 | MID | MID/FWD |
Andrew Brayshaw | Fremantle | 63 | MID | MID/FWD |
Tarryn Thomas | North Melbourne | 55 | MID | MID/FWD |
Sam Powell-Pepper | Port Adelaide | 77 | MID | MID/FWD |
Jack Sinclair | St Kilda | 71 | MID | MID/FWD |
Jordan Dawson | Sydney | 81 | MID | MID/FWD |
