NORTH Melbourne interim coach Rhyce Shaw has praised the form of in-demand ruckman Todd Goldstein, but says his focus remains on coaching and not on list management decisions.
Goldstein, 31, has returned to his best over the last month, breaking even with reigning All Australian ruckman Brodie Grundy in an impressive display last Saturday night.
However, the veteran big man has been heavily linked with a move to St Kilda as an unrestricted free agent later this year, with the Saints keen to boost their ruck stocks.

The Kangaroos meet the Saints in Hobart this Sunday, where Goldstein is set to do battle with one of the League's most promising young talls in Rowan Marshall.
For Shaw, that's his only focus as the club looks to extend its recent run of strong form.

"I've got no idea … honestly, I wouldn't have a clue," Shaw said.
"I know Todd is really valued here at this football club and he's been fantastic in the last month especially. He's providing a really good role for us.
"I hope that continues, because he's a fantastic player."

Shaw has put forward a strong case to take the North Melbourne coaching job on a full-time basis following an exciting period since taking over as interim boss in May.
For the time being, the club will allow coaching to remain his only focus, with Shaw uncertain over whether he will be involved in list management decisions this season.

"I don't know," Shaw said.
"I've been really well protected by (outgoing football boss) Cam Joyce and the administration, who have allowed me just to coach the footy team.
"That's been my sole focus and I'm looking forward to continuing to do that. Hopefully, everything else takes care of itself."
The in-form North Melbourne meets St Kilda on Sunday, with defender Robbie Tarrant expected to feature despite copping a knock during last week's win over Collingwood.
However, the club will wait before deciding on whether Aaron Hall (knee) and Dom Tyson (calf) return via the VFL this weekend.
