The AFL advises Adelaide’s Bryce Gibbs has elected to contest the charge laid against him from the Match Review of Thursday and Friday’s Round 17 matches between the Adelaide Crows/Geelong Cats and St Kilda/Carlton respectively. The Tribunal will sit tomorrow, Tuesday July 17, following today’s review of the remaining Saturday / Sunday round 17 games.

Bryce Gibbs, Adelaide Crows, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Joel Selwood, Geelong Cats, during the first quarter of the Round 17 match between the Adelaide Crows and the Geelong Cats, played at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday July 12, 2018.
Based on the available evidence and a medical report from the Geelong Cats Football Club, the incident was classified as careless conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was assessed as a $3000 sanction.
Sanctions Accepted:
Taylor Walker, Adelaide Crows, has accepted a one-match sanction for engaging in rough conduct against Zach Tuohy, Geelong Cats, during the first quarter of the Round 17 match between the Adelaide Crows and the Geelong Cats, played at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday July 12, 2018.
Jed Lamb, Carlton, has accepted a one-match sanction for unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of Jade Gresham, St Kilda, during the second quarter of the Round 17 match between Carlton and St Kilda, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday July 13, 2018.
