RICHMOND defender Nathan Broad has been placed on the long-term injury list after suffering a shoulder injury at training on Thursday.
Broad, who played two games in his debut season last year, injured the AC joint in his right shoulder during Thursday morning's session.
He was visiting a surgeon on Thursday afternoon and is likely to require surgery.
Broad is the fourth player to be placed on the Tigers' long-term injury list, joining ruckman Shaun Hampson (back), draftee Jack Graham (ankle) and Chris Yarran (retired).
So far the Tigers have only elevated rookie Jason Castagna as a replacement for Yarran.
Rookie forwards Mabior Chol and Ivan Soldo were in contention for selection this week, but were not elevated to the senior list before the 2pm deadline on Thursday.
