IT'S THE final day of the Telstra AFL Trade Period and there are a few big names who will be watching on nervously as they try to find a new home.
Essendon spearhead Joe Daniher's move to Sydney hangs in the balance, Swans goalsneak Tom Papley could be held to the Swans rather than heading to Carlton and St Kilda needs to finalise an array of moves, including bringing in star wingman Bradley Hill and seeing four-time club champion Jack Steven depart for Geelong.
AFL.com.au's Trade Winds will provide a round-up of the latest developments for one final time this year.
DEADLINE DAY LIVE Watch all the deals go down
Essendon's leverage in the Daniher deal
The Bombers' ability to match an offer from the Swans for Daniher in 12 months' time gives them the upper hand in trade negotiations, according to The Age.
Daniher is contracted until the end of 2020 and while Sydney is trying to prise him out of Tullamarine now, a swap is no certainty to occur, with Essendon demanding a huge haul for the matchwinner.
However, the 25-year-old will be a restricted free agent next season, meaning even if the Swans make an offer to Daniher, the Bombers could match it and keep him at the club, forcing Sydney to go through the rigmarole of trade negotiations again in a bid to secure the brilliant left-footer.
TRADE HUB All the latest news
The report says talks have been held assuming the Swans have pick No.9, which is currently held by the Blues, but would almost certainly be sent to Sydney in any deal for Papley.
The Swans are unlikely to release Papley, who AFL.com.au first reported is contracted until the end of 2023, if they don’t acquire Daniher.
On Tuesday, Essendon reportedly turned down an offer of No.9 and Sydney's first-round selection in next year's NAB AFL Draft for Daniher.
Gold Coast wants more for Martin
The Suns are determined to see what they see as fair compensation from the Blues in return for Jack Martin, News Corp says.
While they have been seeking a first-round selection, News Corp is reporting an early second-round selection would be enough to seal the deal.

The issue is Carlton's next pick after the No.9 it currently holds is No.43.
It could yet split that No.9 pick for two selections in the teens.
One Giant leap up the draft order on the cards
After going down in the Grand Final, Greater Western Sydney could find itself with two of the best young prospects in the country, reports The Age.
The Giants have discussed bundling pick No.6 with their first-round selection from next year's NAB AFL Draft and sending that package to Melbourne, in exchange for pick No.3.
INDICATIVE DRAFT ORDER Your club's latest picks
That would give them a huge chance of landing a gun youngster before a bid comes in for highly rated onballer Tom Green, who is tied to GWS through its Academy.
According to News Corp, fellow premiership contender Geelong is looking to move up the draft order as well after securing a swag of selections for Tim Kelly, who landed at West Coast.

Cats all in on flag push
Geelong looms as the most likely destination for unwanted Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins.
AFL.com.au broke the news early on Wednesday morning.
TRADE TALK All the latest whispers in our live blog
Brownlow medallist Patrick Dangerfield is behind the push to see his former teammate and good friend join the Cats.
It would mean the club is all-in on its flag push, with Steven also set to line up in the blue and white hoops next year.
Jenkins could come for as little as $200,000 per season.

Collingwood is another potential landing spot for the Crow but the Pies would need to free up more space in its salary cap if it was to land the 30-year-old.
Jenkins has averaged at least two goals per season every year since 2014.
Will Jenkins become a Cat?
Acres headed west
Versatile St Kilda midfielder Blake Acres has agreed to join Fremantle on a three-year deal, according to Fox Footy.
While the West Australian hadn't been seeking a move home, the Saints have reportedly told Acres he was unlikely to receive a contract extension beyond 2020 and would find it tough to crack into the senior line-up with Hill and Sydney speedster Zak Jones incoming.

He will be part of the trade that will see Hill move to Moorabbin.
The 24-year-old will reportedly have a medical at the Dockers on Wednesday morning.
Freo is also likely to add Pies backman James Aish.

Acres can also line up in attack and can pinch-hit in the ruck if necessary.
He is a powerful athlete but his foot skills and decision-making can let him down on occasion.
