WEST Coast will be hoping to put to bed its traveling woes by emulating last year's heroic 10-point win over the Power at Adelaide Oval.
The Eagles are without a win on the road from their past six attempts, but get an opportunity to end that streak against the out of sorts Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Young midfielder Liam Duggan is in just his second year of AFL football but said last season's win in Adelaide was the best of his short career.
"Just purely for the fact that it was away at Adelaide Oval and it's a pretty daunting crowd there and obviously Port at home they're are a pretty strong side," Duggan said.
"So for us to get that win, it went right down to the wire, was really positive for us and we'll be looking to do that again this week."
Duggan said there are a lot of things out of the players' control when they travel but they simply need to focus on the fundamentals this week.
"There's always going to be those differences that you can't control," Duggan said.
"You're not sleeping in your own bed and you're getting buses to the game and to the airport.
"Your meals aren't the same but I think it just gets down to controlling the controllables, and for us it hasn't quite clicked yet on the road but we're not at panic stations at all.
"We're really confident and we think we can do it this week."
The Power are coming off a loss to Carlton on Sunday and their season hangs in the balance at 4-4.
But Duggan said the Eagles can't afford to underestimate Port despite some patchy form this year.
"Port probably haven't been in the form they would've liked," Duggan said
"We still see them as a danger side, especially at Adelaide Oval.
"Obviously we went into the game last year thinking exactly the same thing and we'll prepare the same because we just think that Port at home will be a pretty tough challenge no matter where they are sitting on the ladder or form wise. We'll still show them a lot of respect."
Duggan gathered a season-high 21 touches in the 103-point win over St Kilda on Sunday and the youngster said he was pleased to build some form after a quiet start to the year.
