The West Coast Eagles is a dynamic organisation that prides itself on its core values. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing team in the full time role of Corporate Sales. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possesses strong communication, networking and leadership skills with the drive to achieve sales targets. Reporting to the Corporate Sales Manager, you will be involved in maximising all traditional forms of income and special projects, and developing new revenue streams in line with the marketing strategic plan.
The key responsibilities within this role include:
- Drive sales and renewals of the club’s traditional income streams including corporate boxes and coterie memberships.
- Drive sales and available inventory of the club’s grand final tickets.
- Drive sales of the clubs various advertising media, including LED & ground signage, video scoreboard, digital, Eagle Vision and Eagle Eye magazine.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with the clubs corporate client base built on trust and integrity.
- Provide sales support with the club’s corporate events including the Season Launch, Derby Lunch, Gala Auction and Club Champion Awards.
- Assist with all telemarketing and sales as requested, including cold calling and direct mail.
- Prepare corporate boxes and other marketing activations for game day.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the AFL/sports industry. You will have three to four years proven experience in a corporate sales environment with a demonstrated ability to achieve set targets, create and sell corporate packages, and develop, maintain and service new and existing corporate relationships. Experience within Media, Sports and Entertainment industries would be highly regarded along with B2B sales experience.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage budgets, and will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking and marketing planning skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in a marketing or business related discipline would be viewed favourably.
There is a requirement for all full time staff to assist on match days and other events as required by the club, which includes weekends. The remuneration and benefits provided factor in this requirement.
