IT SEEMS fair to assume Gold Coast's prized draftee Callum Ah Chee isn't the superstitious type, given the eighth pick at last week's NAB AFL Draft has taken on the No.13 guernsey.
The high-leaping small forward from South Fremantle had no qualms assuming the number vacated by the retired Andrew Boston.
The Suns' other draftees have been given higher numbers – Brayden Fiorini will wear No. 29, Mackenzie Willis 34 and Josh Schoenfeld 36.

Fellow recruits Jarrad Grant, Matt Rosa and Dan Currie will also wear prominent numbers at their new club – former Bulldog Grant has claimed new Cat Zac Smith's old No.2, ex-Eagles veteran Rosa receives retiree Timmy Sumner's No.3, and former Kangaroos ruckman Dan Currie has been handed No.15, previously worn by Daniel Gorringe, who is now at Carlton.
Impressive youngster Touk Miller has taken over the No.11 guernsey formerly worn by Harley Bennell.
Miller donned the No.44 in his first season, but after Bennell's off-season departure to Fremantle, has now taken on the number of the former No.2 draft pick.
Another youngster – third-year defender Sean Lemmens – has taken on the No.23, which had been worn by former forward Charlie Dixon since the club's inception.
Miller’s No. 44 has been passed on to rookie Darcy MacPherson, the son of former Bulldog Stephen 'Super' MacPherson, while the Suns have also handed out numbers to fellow rookies Ryan Davis (39), Tom Keough (40) and Cameron Loersch (46), and academy product Jesse Joyce (38).
