The Melbourne Football Club is the founding club of the AFL. The Club is part of the fabric of the city of Melbourne and is based at Australia’s most iconic sports stadium, the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Club has over 35,000 members and attracts over 400,000 attendees to its games each year. The Club has strong leadership and is an emerging team in the competition, looking to build a strong and sustainable future.
We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic and skilled team member to coordinate the delivery of the ticketing and engagement initiatives. This role sits in the Commercial Operations team and reports directly to the Manager – Consumer Business and Engagement.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Execution of the annual crowd build strategy to maximise home crowd attendances through a variety of marketing and promotional activities
- Work with the marketing and community departments to maximise data collection opportunities
- Develop and implement ticket sampling programs including clear and ongoing communication and engagement strategies
- Maximise ticketing and attendance opportunities
- Assist with implementing engagement activities across new and existing markets
- Service Club Supporter Groups including local and interstate supporter groups and the Demon Army
Successful applicants will have:
- Experience and high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Experience in managing external suppliers and contract management
- Experience in data segmentation and marketing
- Developed project management and organisation skills
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a positive and proactive work ethic

The expected start date for this role will be Monday 1st February 2016.
Successful candidates will require a current Working With Children Check. There is also a requirement to assist on match days and other events as required by the Club, which will include out of office hours and weekends.
