NORTH Melbourne forward Lindsay Thomas has been placed on report for kicking Richmond defender Dylan Grimes in the chest during the third term of Sunday's elimination final at the MCG.
Thomas, who started as the sub, was caught holding the ball and reacted by lashing out at Grimes.
His foot made contact with Grimes' chest and the umpire quickly awarded a 50m penalty and placed Thomas on report.

He faces a stint on the sidelines if the Match Review Panel grades the impact of his kick 'medium'.
If it was graded low impact to the body he would be served with a $1500 fine with an early guilty plea.
Thomas was fined in the pre-season for rough conduct on Adelaide's Matthew Jaensch and has been found guilty by the AFL judiciary system eight times.
Roos coach Brad Scott said he wasn't aware that Thomas had been reported.
Fellow small forward Kayne Turner looms as a potential replacement if Thomas is suspended, after the youngster was left out of the elimination final following a bout of concussion suffered in round 23.
"Kayne Turner missed with concussion, although he was cleared to play, that was a match committee decision to rule him out because of the concussion," Scott said.
"We just felt that it was such a significant hit last week that even if he was cleared to play he wouldn't be at his best. Now with nine days since the last time we played Richmond and now another week, we expect him to be pushing up for selection."
