Lions academy product Ben Keays demonstrated his ball-winning ability, accumulating a team-high 31 possessions and six tackles in his side's 67-point loss.
Fellow onballer Nick Robertson, the No.34 selection in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, had 28 touches and five marks, while last year's No.14 draft pick, Eric Hipwood, added 25 disposals and 12 marks.
Rookie forward Matt Hammelmann registered three goals from his 10 disposals.

Omitted defender Simon White was made to work in a Blues defence that was under plenty of pressure, gathering 24 touches in his team's 49-point loss.
After making a successful return from pre-season hip surgery last week, former GWS defender Lachie Plowman continued to build towards his debut for the Blues courtesy of his 19 touches and five marks in managed game time.
Former Sydney Swans defender Matthew Dick, who managed six games for the Blues since joining the club as a delisted free agent at the end of 2014, had a team-high 30 disposals playing across half-back.
Ex-Western Bulldog Jason Tutt gathered 27 disposals, with youngster Dillon Viojo-Rainbow not too far behind on 24 possessions and a goal.
Liam Jones led the Blues' goalkicking with three majors.

Axed onballer Brent Macaffer did his chances of earning an immediate recall no harm, finishing with 23 possessions, eight tackles and two goals in his team's 24-point win.
The forward turned midfielder's two goals came early in the final quarter and helped kick-start the Magpies, who quickly extended their two-point lead at three-quarter time.
Experienced defender Alan Toovey had 24 possessions (11 contested) in a good display down back, while American import Mason Cox kicked the first goal of the game by taking a strong pack mark and converting the set shot.
The win was soured by a suspected leg/hamstring injury to Jonathon Marsh in the first half.
The 20-year-old backman didn't return to the field and will be assessed further.

Luckless utility Anthony Morabito, who has overcome three knee reconstructions and more recently a hamstring setback in the pre-season, made an encouraging return in his first competitive appearance since August 2014.
The 24-year-old rookie ended with 23 touches, six marks and two tackles playing across half-back and in the middle, while tall forward Matt Taberner booted three goals from his 13 possessions.

Draftee Brayden Fiorini, the No.20 selection in last year's NAB AFL Draft, showed his potential at the elite level by amassing an equal game-high 32 disposals and kicking a goal in the Suns' 12-point loss.
Nominated rookie Danny Stanley collected 23 touches, while Jarrod Garlett and Peter Wright – both first-round draftees in 2014 – kicked three goals each.

The Giants went down by 18 points after surrendering a 31-point lead to the Swans but still boasted a few of the best players afield.
The Giants had the top possession-winners, with Jack Steele (32 and three goals), Jake Barrett (31) and Adam Tomlinson (30 and 15 marks) being largely responsible for putting their side in a winning position.
Meanwhile, prized draftee Jacob Hopper produced a big second half when many of his teammates were flagging.

Brendan Whitecross strengthened his case for promotion with a near best-afield display in Box Hill Hawks' 37-point win over Sandringham.
Ruckman Marc Pittonet, who made his AFL debut in round one, was also among the Hawks' best, as were second-year wingman Dallas Willsmore and key forward Tim O'Brien (three goals).
Youngster Daniel Howe, who was omitted for Liam Shiels, booted two goals.

Big-name Demons Jack Trengove, Angus Brayshaw and Christian Petracca all took the field in Casey's season-opening 144-point win, but with mixed results.
Trengove received a heavy head knock in the opening four minutes of the match and didn't return to the field after failing a concussion test.
Following the Dees' upset loss to Essendon, coach Paul Roos conceded Brayshaw entered the game underdone and needed another week with Casey to regain full fitness.
The 20-year-old responded by accumulating a team-high 29 possessions and kicking two goals, while another omitted Demon, defender Cam Pedersen, was also kept busy with 25 touches and two goals.
Petracca continued his comeback from a broken toe he suffered during the Christmas break with 28 disposals and two goals, alongside utility Alex Neal-Bullen on 28 touches.
Meanwhile, young forward/ruckman Mitch King is understood to have ruptured his ACL and forward Jay Kennedy-Harris injured his right hamstring during the second quarter.

Promising forward Mason Wood led Werribee to a sensational, come-from-behind win over Essendon, with a best-afield, 36-possession, three-goal performance that helped turn a 32-point deficit into an 18-point victory.
West Australian Declan Mountford (24 disposals) showed that he might be a draft bargain at pick 60, as did Queenslander Corey Wagner at pick 43, while experienced campaigners Farren Ray (29) and Robin Nahas (four goals) were also crucial to the outcome.

Power rookies Kane Mitchell (26 disposals, 10 clearances and two goals) and Will Snelling (24 disposals, eight clearances and two goals) produced standout performances in the midfield in a 43-point win over North Adelaide.
Fellow runner Sam Colquhoun was also pivotal, gathering an equal game-high 30 possessions.
Big man Dougal Howard, omitted after making his AFL debut last week, responded with 11 possessions, 19 hit-outs, four clearances and two goals.

Big-name ruckman Ivan Maric made a promising return from a back injury that has sidelined him from the Tigers' opening three home and away matches.
A Richmond spokesperson told AFL.com.au on Sunday night that Maric got through the intended 75 minutes game time with no concerns and "rucked well around the ground".
Rookie Adam Marcon (24 disposals, eight clearances) and Andrew Moore (24 disposals, 15 tackles) were among the Tigers' major ball-winners in the 45-point loss.
Up forward, Jason Castagna, the No.29 selection in the 2014 NAB AFL Rookie Draft, and tall forward Liam McBean kicked two goals apiece.

Brandon Jack bagged a game-high four goals for the Swans as they came from 31 points down to record a remarkable 18-point win over their crosstown rivals, the Giants.
Swans teammate Dean Towers, who played the first two games in the AFL before being dropped, placed himself in contention for an immediate promotion by having 25 disposals, laying five tackles and kicking a goal in a predominantly midfield role.
Two-game Swan James Rose was also influential in the comeback, finishing with 20 disposals, six marks, six tackles and three goals.
Swans rookies Nic Newman (22 possessions) and Irishman Colin O'Riordan (20) were also good contributors, while developing key back Aliir Aliir had 17 touches and marked well.

Patrick McGinnity's hard work didn't go unnoticed in the 30-point win over the Fremantle-aligned Peel, gathering 25 touches, six inside 50s and kicking two goals in a strong display.
Rookie-listed midfielder Kane Lucas, who is yet to make his official debut for the Eagles after crossing from Carlton at the end of 2014, collected a team-high 29 disposals and six inside 50s.
Axed Eagle Jamie Bennell had little impact on the game with just nine possessions in defence after making way for Chris Masten in the Eagles' line-up

Ball-winner Mitch Honeychurch amassed a match-high 34 touches and kicked two goals in the Bulldogs' big 49-point win.

Onballer Lukas Webb, the No.27 selection in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, collected 25 disposals, while last year's second-round draftee Kieran Collins was kept busy in defence with 24 touches.
Youngster Bailey Dale and ruckman Will Minson added two goals apiece.
