GREATER Western Sydney ruckman Rory Lobb is eager to return home to Western Australia, according to his manager Nick Gieschen.

Speaking on NAB AFL Trade Radio, Gieschen explained the Giants' ruckman has a desire to relocate either this year or next, when his current contract with GWS ends.

Lobb met with West Coast officials in Perth last week.

"Rory's been there for five years now and has a really close, tight-knit family back in Perth," Gieschen said.

"If the opportunity comes up this year, he would like to get back.

"If it's not this year, he's out of contract next year and he would like to go back home at some stage."

Gieschen is also the manager of Sydney's Gary Rohan, who has expressed his desire to return to Geelong.

On Monday Gieschen confirmed the Cats will be the destination for Rohan, should he leave the Swans.

"If Gary leaves Sydney it will be for Geelong. He's got family down there and that's where he's from,” Gieschen said.

"Sydney is aware of Gary's desire to get home and they're obviously keen to facilitate something with Geelong too.

"Both parties are in discussions at the moment. I'm pretty confident something will get done."
