Club President Jeff Kennett shares with Hawks members the trials and tribulations of a Hawthorn-style Movember:

To all of our players who participated in Movember this year, staff and supporters, my sincere thanks.

Movember is on its way to setting another record - and men’s health issues, anxiety, depression and prostate cancer will be the beneficiaries of funds raised.

So I thank all participants, their Mo Sisters and those who financially supported everyone who grew mos.

Sadly mine was influenced by the colour of my blood!

But all for a good cause, and the growth will be flushed tonight!

Cheers,

Jeff Kennett

Movember is a major fundraiser for the Hawks’ Community affiliate - beyondblue.

The Movember Foundation works with beyondblue throughout the year to help change the face of men’s health in Australia and works to:

  • Generate awareness of depression, anxiety and related disorders
  • Reduce the associated stigma
  •  Encourage men to talk about these conditions
  •  Encourage men to seek help for themselves or their mates

For more information or to register for Movember, go to www.movember.com.

beyondblue is a major beneficiary of the campaign, with The Movember Foundation committing $9 million to beyondblue from funds raised in 2009.
