ADELAIDE veteran Andrew McLeod could be available for Sunday's Showdown with Port Adelaide, after returning to the track following a knee arthroscope three weeks ago.

McLeod, 31, had a "clean out" on his right knee after the club's round 13 clash with the Brisbane Lions.

The news comes on the back of a disastrous weekend for the Crows, with forward Brett Burton suffering a season-ending ACL injury, and Jason Porplyzia popping his shoulder for the third time this year.

Porplyzia has again delayed shoulder surgery in the hope he might contribute to a Crows finals campaign.

Each dislocation has brought further pain and strain to Porplyzia and Saturday's - after an innocuous tackling attempt in the first term against the Magpies - was unable to be corrected at the ground.

Surgery now would end Porplyzia's season at a time when the Crows are battling desperately to keep afloat.

Instead, club doctor Andrew Potter confirmed Porplyzia would spend the next two to three weeks resting the joint in order to present himself for selection around the time of Adelaide's round 19 home match against Richmond.

Meanwhile, the Western Bulldogs are confident forward Mitch Hahn will be available to face Geelong this Saturday in the blockbuster top-of-the-table clash at Skilled Stadium.

The 27-year-old snapped the plantar fascia tendon in his foot in the opening stages of Sunday's 31-point win over Melbourne.

Hahn has been battling soreness in the area for the past month, and will benefit from completely tearing the tendon, as many players have done in the past.

"We're getting a scan to prove it, but it looks like that's what's happened," Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade told the Herald Sun.

"The doctors said it's the best-case scenario.

"He'll have a bit of swelling for a couple of days, but he will be right to play this week.

"He'll be better over the next few weeks because he's had this problem for three or four weeks."

Eade also said Scott Welsh, who was a late withdrawal on Sunday with back tightness, and Ryan Griffen will be available to play, while defender Tom Williams is expected to miss another week with a shoulder.

Brisbane Lions coach Leigh Matthews remains hopeful co-captains Jonathan Brown (hip) and Simon Black (shoulder) will be fit for Saturday night.

They have been listed for tests and are expected to be given until Thursday to prove their fitness.

"They are both questionable but we will know as the week goes on," Matthews said.

But the Lions have lost young ruckman Matthew Leuenberger for the rest of the season due to knee surgery.

The 20-year-old is expected to go under the knife this week after injuring his knee during the Lions' 37-point loss to Essendon last weekend.
