GREATER Western Sydney co-captain Phil Davis has been released from hospital after sustaining an injury to a kidney in the Giants' round one win over cross-town rivals Sydney.
Davis was rushed to hospital immediately after the match after receiving an accidental knee to the side in the first quarter of the Giant's win on Saturday March 15.
He was later diagnosed with bleeding from his kidney and has spent the past 13 days in hospital before being released on Friday morning.

It is unknown when Davis will return to training.
